Consumer Products
Branded
goods through the production and distribution of the
Capri-Sun® and
Caps® products, as well as the franchise
brand
Libella®, completes WILD's portfolio as its
third core business in the food and beverage market.
In 1969, Deutsche SiSi-Werke, based in Heidelberg-Eppelheim, introduced Germany, as well as Europe, to the fruit beverage Capri-Sun® with its distinctive stand-up pouch and straw. Global marketing is done by Rudolf WILD International. The Caps® beverage brand, with its innovative re-closable stand-up pouch, the “spouted pouch,” is targeted at mobile, young consumers.
Through distribution of these brands, WILD employees have become increasingly familiar with the international food markets. For instance, people in over 100 countries drink Capri-Sun®. The international experience of WILD employees is continually reflected by the product developments for customers in the food and beverage industry worldwide.
Libella® is the biggest German licensed beverage brand. Though over 50 years old, Libella® has always remained young and innovative. Libella® was introduced in 1951 by the company's founder, Rudolf Wild, at the BRAU beverage trade fair in Nuremberg as the first refreshment beverage based solely on natural ingredients in the typical grooved bottle. The products now extend from the classic orange lemonade to still products with added benefits. Libella® is primarily bottled and marketed as a franchise brand by breweries in southern Germany.
