Antioxidant Basic Pack for Natural Functional Products WILD has succeeded in
creating a basic pack containing natural antioxidants that can also be used in light-colored
products. The company now offers this pack to the food industry for use in beverage, dairy, baked
goods and ice cream.
Products containing antioxidants currently on the market are mainly based on bioactive ingredients from red fruits. In the past, when light yellow to orange colored products were enriched with polyphenols, the taste deteriorated. By developing new basic packs with natural antioxidants from plant extracts, WILD is now able to offer manufacturers in the food and beverage industry new possibilities: the functional ingredients can be used in diverse applications and do not hinder the products’ great taste. WILD also now offers a basic pack for light-colored products along with the antioxidant blend for use in red-colored products. These concepts fulfill consumer demands for natural products with added health benefits while focusing on the increasing popularity of healthy antioxidants. The new WILD basic packs consist of various plant extracts that contain a high, standardized quantity of polyphenols, which have a natural antioxidant effect. Polyphenols exist in plants as natural colorants, flavors or tannins, and absorb free radicals in the human body. WILD’s antioxidant concepts are also available with a standardized polyphenol content. |
