In the dairy industry products with a functional added value are already very well established. Therefore probiotic and prebiotic foodstuff is growing for years. Dairy products with added vitamins or minerals, with fiber or other health beneficial ingredients are already part of the daily healthy breakfast for many consumers.

For functional dairy products the packaging plays a crucial role. Especially small portion packaging (up to 200ml) and the so called “one-shots” which provide a daily healthy dose are being increasingly requested.
