Seasonal Ice Cream
Until a few years ago, ice
cream was considered strictly a summer and seasonal product – especially in the warmer southern
regions. New flavors and packaging, however, make ice cream a dessert enjoyed by consumers
throughout the entire year.
Recipes that change with the seasons offer consumers an continual new taste experience – every season has its own, special flavors. Light, fruity sorbets with orange cassis or yogurt blueberry are a spring or summer treat. Creamy tiramisu ice cream stretches summer into fall, and winter varieties like chocolate gingerbread or coffee caramel complete the holiday menu.
