WILD at the FIE 2011 - New developments in the WILD world of natural flavors (05.12.2011)

Top-quality, natural flavor demands are continuing to grow steadily for food manufacturers.  WILD continues to expand its product range with exotic fruit and new “brown” flavors to allow manufacturers the ability to create innovative product concepts that meet the current trends.

WILD is presenting a portfolio of natural flavors that was specially prepared for the FIE in Paris. It features the flavorings of exotic fruits.

A taste of paradise
Manufacturers can choose among pineapple, fig, yuzu, pomegranate, mango and pink guava. “ Exotic fruits from around the globe are growing more popular with consumers. Mango and pink guava, for example, appeal to the European palate and remind people of holiday and vacation destinations. The trend currently consists of a blend of familiar and unfamiliar flavors,” states Birgit Braun, product manager for WILD. WILD, as the ingredients specialist for great-tasting food and beverage products, enables manufacturers to respond to this trend with new fruity flavors by offering creative diversity in their products and therefore creating a distinguishing feature versus current existing products. The main applications are gelatin articles and soft caramels.

The trend: Natural “brown” flavors for chocolate
In Paris, WILD is also presenting its new natural flavors for use in creme-filled chocolates. These flavors allow manufacturers to create product formulations which combine two trends: enjoyment and naturalness. The new flavors are available in: toffee, cappuccino, walnut, almond, caramel, nut and a variety of coffee flavors. Whereas nature-identical flavors dominated the market historically, WILD has now developed natural alternatives by using a comprehensive raw-material screening process. At the FIE, WILD will also be sharing another exciting development: its new natural vanilla flavors. These can be used in ice cream, and complete the latest developments of the company's new product portfolio.
